Working with Pallas Informatik's camera system to photograph wounds, the aim of this project is to use cameras to explore 3D volume of a wound and surface structure, creating an automatic algorithm to tell us if there are changes in the necrosis. It might also include using thermography or a biomarker lens to determine temperature or bacterial materials. Development of a low-cost system which in-home nurses could use is one hope for this sub project. A 3D camera has been developed and is intended to be tested in a ph.d. project including diabetic foot ulcers and venous leg ulcers.
