The European Telemedicine Conference 2015 will be hosted in Denmark and will combine the efforts of several leading European Healthcare Organisations into one powerful event. The conference will collaborate with prominent healthcare delivery organisations, governmental leaders, clinicians, researchers and university faculties to address and discuss the most pressing telemedicine and telehealth issues

ETC Scientific program

In 2015, Odense will host the ETC2015, and this year the conference will highlight research on health technology and telemedicine with a special conference track dedicated to presentation of scientific results. For this track, researchers all over Europe have been invited to submit abstracts to present their work.

How does it work?

Among 35 submissions 19 abstracts have been chosen for presentation by the international program committee. All accepted abstracts will be published in a supplement to the International Journal of Integrated Care.

The program for the scientific program of ETC 2015 focuses on the following topics:

  • New Telemedicine Studies
  • Assessment of Effectiveness and Cost-Effectiveness
  • New Possibilities for Technology Use in Clinical Practice
  • Patient and Clincian Perspectives on Technology
  • Health Informatics and Clinical Practice

Opening keynote speaker on the 21st of October is Prof. Carolyn McGregor from University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Canada speaking about "Big Data analytics for new approaches to Telemedicine and Personal Health and Wellness Empowerment on Earth and in Space".

Josep Roca, MD, from University of Barcelona will close the scientific program on the 22nd of October with a presentation about Personalized Medicine for Chronic Patients in an Integrated Care Framework.
